The Founder and president of Virginia Wine Adventures LLC, Tour the Grape Life! is
Deidra Biggs Stevens. Deidra’s Passion for Virginia Wines and the wine industry began while
she was in college. Explains Deidra, “My Mom and Dad were really getting into Virginia wine, and our
favorite pastime when I would come home from school was to visit the local wineries.” That was back in 1994.
Touring and tasting at the local wineries led to a part-time job at a wine shop while Deidra was in school and a
continuing interest through the years. Today, Deidra can count over 65 wineries that she has visited in Virginia!
Following a professional path in sales and marketing, Deidra settled down to raise her young
family and work part-time at the local wineries, including Tarara Vineyard. She has enjoyed watching the
region blossom with outstanding wines and is pleased to bring this love of the vineyards and scenery to you.
As she begins this exciting journey with her company, Virginia Wine Adventures, she looks forward to sharing her
experience, knowledge and love of wine with you. She is most likely to be the one hosting your tour as the business grows.
